Search Strategies

  • When choosing a topic, think about the different terminology that may be used to describe the concept.  For instance, if you are looking for information on "cows," try including the term "bovine"

  • Be sure to include terms that hint at a mathematical component.  If you have a specific equation in mind, search forthat terminology.  If you are looking in general, here are some terms that will be useful:
model* or equation* or calculat* or math*
  • If you are retrieving too many results, try searching for your topic in the "Title" field

  • Ask if you need help with your topic!

  • Spelling counts!  Be sure that you are spelling your terms correctly!
