Unequal distribution of environmental risks, benefits, policies and regulatory practices across different populations.
EJ Case Study Paper - "This class focuses on environmental injustices or inequalities and the different ways people mobilize to achieve environmental justice. You will be required to write a 7-page (double-spaced) paper, focusing on one environmental justice principle (you will be assigned one of these). In the context of that principle, you will locate and analyze one case that illustrates that principle in action, where activists have organized to fight for that principle. You should also include an analysis of how people mobilized to fight environmental injustice, identifying the particular violations to your assigned environmental justice principle that your chosen case study illustrates. Once you have selected your case study, you will need to use the library (or internet access) to find one peer-reviewed journal articles and 5-6 news articles about your environmental justice case."
Library Instruction Session
If you don't have one already, I would recommend that you get a public library card. You can now get one here on campus at our Loan and Reserve Desk in Morgan Library.
Having a public library card will give you online access to the back issues of the Fort Collins Coloradoan if you picked an issue with a local focus.
Here's a link to the Poudre River Public Library District so you can check out all they have to offer.
