CO130 - Academic Writing

Using CSU Library Databases to Find Sources

A good place to start, for most searches, is Academic Search Premier.

Put one of your keywords in each search box to find relevant articles.

Library resources are much better than Google, because they provide full-text access to high-quality, credible sources. They save you time and money, since you don’t get charged for articles or have to sort through pages of unreliable information.

The sections of this Research Guide contain additional information, such as filters and full-text access. See the menu for details.

TRY IT OUT: Using the keywords you developed earlier, try a search in Academic Search Premier. How many sources are you finding/what type of sources? How could you adjust your search to get better results?
