DOI Search Does NOT Work for Advanced Search
Adding a Searchable Fileld under Advanced Search
I didn't change normalization rules because I noticed DOI is already configured and activated. Also the avanced Index fields under code tables also included DOI, so no changes to code tables. Since I didn't do these two steps, I didn't have to run renorm. I only did the last part, add DOI to drop-down, changed views wizard->advanced search-> complex search line 1&4. Deployed the changes. I can see the added field but DOI search is not working at all.
-
In the Views Wizard (Primo Home > Ongoing Configuration Wizards > Views Wizard), edit your view.
-
Click through the wizard until you reach the Tiles Configuration page, and then edit the Home Page > Advanced Search tile.
-
On the Edit Advanced Search Attributes page, edit the Complex Search Line under the Define search pre-filters section.
-
On the Edit Advanced Search Attributes page, select DOI from the Search Field Value drop-down list under the Search Target Fields of Advanced Search tile section and then click Create. Complex search line 1&4.

Reply from Exlibris Tech Support:
Since the DOI is not in the search section, narrowing to the DOI search will not work with PCI records. I would recommend removing the option to search by DOI only. When searching any,contains,10.1177/003335491513000615, you will find the correct article.
DOI Search Under Citation Finder
Exlibris' documentation on this is not clear at all, many important information are missing. Our final solution:
Step 1: Apply for a CrossRef account for our library. Have to contact CrossRef to create a OpenURL account not the free you can apply from their website.
