Pre-Filter Search for Ebooks
Goal:
CSU - Fort Collins would like a way to be able to drill down to e-books including both ebooks from PCI and our Alma records only with a simple search. This could be either through a pre-filter or a search scope or a combination of them or the limiters.
Solution:
We followed the tutorial Pre-Filter Search in the New UI
1. Activate the pre-filter for basic search
Problem Encountered
Primo Home > Ongoing Configuration Wizards > Views Wizard > Edit Basic Search Attributes
1. Activated other options
2. Saved and Deployed the change. However my changes are not saved.
Problem Discovered
From TechSupport: After looking into the issue, it appears that the source of the problem was that all of the labels for the different resource types were reset and unchecked in the Basic Media Types code table. They were appearing as options under "Values for Resource type pre-filter drop-down," however Primo was not seeing them since the corresponding code mappings were not enabled. I went ahead and enabled all the mappings in that mapping table. I then followed the steps you did and deployed the changes, came back to the same section and those selections were not cleared.
