Setting up a Playlist in Naxos (for faculty)

Faculty members can create and edit playlists (which are not editable from the general URL) and view static URLs to the tracks, repertoire, CD pages and playlists.

Below are detailed instructions for creating a playlist (a function that is only available to professors) in Naxos Music Library:

1) Point your browser to www.NaxosMusicLibrary.com (instead of your institution's unique URL)

2) Log in with the Professor Username and Password - (e-mail or call your music librarian to get the Professor Username and Password) -  Enter the username and password at the top left-hand side of the page.

3) Once you are logged in to Naxos Music Library, you can search for a CD.  When you have chosen a disc, click on the link for the disc and the CD page will appear.

4) From this page, select the tracks you want to add by putting a check in the checkbox and click "Add to Playlist" in the column on the left.

5) A small window will open. Under "Select Location" Tab: select "Colorado State University Playlists." You can add the chosen track(s) to an existing playlist or to a new playlist for which you can create a new title.

6) Once you have added the chosen item(s) to your playlist, you can view the playlist by clicking the "Playlists" tab at the top of the Standard Search page.  These playlists are accessible to students who visit your Naxos Music Library website but only after you convert them to “Shared Playlists.” These playlists can only be created and/or edited by professors.

7) To get a Static URL to the Playlist, check mark the box next to "Display Static URL to Playlist."
