Seven Starting Steps
To get started on an evidence synthesis project:
- Build your team
- Identify your timeline
- Conduct exploratory searches for existing and planned reviews on the topic and seminal/seed articles
- Select an appropriate review type
- Select appropriate tools and templates
- Locate and read relevant methods and reporting guidelines
- Identify a potential publication venue and their requirements for evidence synthesis projects
These steps help you plan for success and identify limitations and confounding factors for your project.
