Friedman Feminist Press Collection Research Grant Announcement
The Friedman Feminist Press Collection of Colorado State University Libraries, Archives & Special Collections provides original sources in feminist/lesbian literature and second-wave feminism, multi-genre works of fiction, poetry, memoir, and essays by feminist publishers of the 1970s and 1980s that brought women and women’s words out into the world. This rich collection also includes materials related to the study of feminist publishing.
In recognition of the legacy of CSU graduate June Friedman, the CSU Libraries provides grants of up to $1,800 to researchers whose work would benefit from access to the Friedman Feminist Press Collection and are intended to help offset travel and research expenses.
The grants support projects with a focus on women and/or gender including historical research and documentation projects resulting in dissertations, publications, exhibitions, educational initiatives, documentary films, or other multi-media works.
For more information and instructions on how to apply, visit the CSU Libraries’ Grants and Funding web page at https://lib.colostate.edu/about/library-grants-and-funding/. The deadline is February 9, 2024.
