"This list of references is not intended to be exhaustive or definitive. We suggest using the most current edition available for any of the references listed. We also encourage you to review and read as much current (past year) literature as possible (eg: Am J Epidemiol, Am J Public Health, Int J Epidemiol, JAMA, JAVMA, Lancet, MMWR, NEJM, Science, etc.) with particular focus on important public health and animal health issues such as bioterrorism, antimicrobial resistance, animal production, disease control, etc."
