To restore the operation system on an iPad using iTunes
1. Back up the data
a. plug the iPad into your computer using the USB connector
b. Open iTunes on your desktop
i. if the sidebar isn't showing, click View < Show Sidbar
ii. Click View again < Show Status Bar
c. Your device will show up under devices
d. Click on your device
e. Click the Backup Now button. The backup will run, and you can test it if you want by clicking on the Restore Backup button.
2. Click on Restore iPad
a. iPad will start restoring the latest version iOS
3. After the iPad restarts, your iPad will show up again in the Sidebar
a. Select your iPad by clicking on it
b. click on the Restore Backup button
c. the saved data will be restored onto the iPad
