- National Conservation Lands: ProgramsAlso known as the National landscape Conservation System. Especially useful for national monuments created during the Clinton administration but administered by BLM rather than the National Park Service. Look up summary information by type. Original page removed sometime in early 2017.
- Public Land StatisticsProvides annual reports on land and mineral uses, animal populations, recreational uses, and more.
Maps
BLM maps are often useful for land ownership, recreation, and multiple use information. They generally are not as detailed as topographic maps nor do they generally show contour lines. Most are shelved in the map cabinets. Base call number is I53.11:
Publication Resources
- Cultural Resources Series. I 53.22 DocPublications in this call number sequence deal with archaeology and history on BLM lands. A number describe sites in Colorado. Publication encompasses 1981 to the present. Some are on microfiche.
- General Publications. I 53.1 DocMost publications in this call number sequence deal with resource and wilderness studies. Publication starts with the 1970s. Some are on microfiche and some of the more recent publications are available online.
- Our Public Lands I 53.12 DocPublished from 1951 through 1986, this publication is of historical interest for BLM policies and activities. Later title was Your Public Lands.
- Public Land Statistics. I 53.1/2 Doc RefPrint available from 1959 to 2003. Online access from 1996 to the present. Also see link listed under "Agency Web Pages" (above).
- Resource Notes (BLM's National Operations Center)Publications in this series are only available electronically. Most are ecosystem studies. Publication began in 1999 and is continuing.
- Technical Notes. I 53.20 DocMost are studies of fauna and flora. Publication encompasses 1966 to at least 2003. Some are on microfiche.
